Superbowl Success!
I have been a Broncos fan since I was little. Growing up in Denver there really wasn't much of a choice. I remember listening to songs about Orange Crush on the radio and hearing all about the Three Amigos. The glorious days of John Elway! I was at CSU when Denver won back-to-back Superbowl Champtionships and that was amazing!!! So last night was a fun and special time! We were able to watch with my dad (as mom is visiting our nieces in Idaho) the Broncos win over the Patriots and the Seahawks over the 49ers! What awesome games! I am so excited that a day before my birthday we will get to cheer on my two favorite teams! There is nothing quite like having both teams you love in the superbowl! (Oh and it's a perk that Bruno Mars is playing too). After a week full of double-ear infections for our little guy and many sleepless nights, this was a great day! Bring on February 2nd!

Disneyland December 2013
Part of the benefit of working part-time is flexibility. So we definitely took advantage of this flexibility and headed to California. We left on the 11th and returned on the 16th, spending three amazing days in Disneyland! My parents and our dear friend Natalie joined us. A great, but exhausting time was had by all!
It was a fun time and we are looking forward to another trip... In a few years :-)
Happy New Year 2014
YAY! So excited to ring in 2014. Before that though a few pics as Daniel turned 10 months on the 10th of December....
Our annual tradition is to celebrate New Years with our friends Tom and Fawnia. It started many years ago (before kids). Fawnia and Tom had some guests living with them and the guests' daughter was having a b-day party, so we invited them for New Years. Two days later they we were still hanging out after and lots of food, games and fun; so we made it a tradition. They don't stay the night anymore (or for several days), but each year we do something a little different. One year we even ventured out to Portland, but found ourselves the first customers of Voodoo Donuts (no line) at midnight. This year, we actually had a very calm new year. Normally my parents watch the boys, but because they were needed to babysit in Idaho we had them... So it was low-key, but also nice. We played games, ate fondue and enjoyed the company. I created little bags of goodies for Andrew to open at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, and 11:45. Filled with different little trinkets, hats, puzzles, candy and poppers! He loved it. I was amazed but both boys stayed awake until midnight! Daniel was ready for bed a little after, but Andrew was still ready to party. We did get him settled down, but I had to take a few pics.
Happy New Year!

Teeth, 7 months and more
*Well, it's been an interesting few weeks. Two weeks ago after much battle ( REALLY long story) and craziness we were able to get Andrew's cavity fixed! The new dentist was amazing and Andrew did so well. When we had originally scheduled it with his pediatric dentist the assistant told me that he would have a root canal, etc. etc. and have to come in an hour early to drink the sedative! Mind you, I never once heard any of this from the dentist and was required to sigh all of these random papers too... I was uneasy about the whole thing, so through various recommendations I found a new dentist. Thankfully this new dentist just used laughing gas and half-hour later the cavity was fixed and Andrew was good to go. He was more excited about the cool prize he got (a truck) and the one he avoided (an animal that eye's pop out) cause he knew I would be scared of it... I learned an important lesson that just because it's a well-known pediatric dentist, doesn't mean they are patient friendly and to go with your gut...
*I was invited to a Doppleganger party. Now mind you the only person I look like is Candace Cameron circa 1980s. So I finally asked a dear friend who recommended Princess Kate! (Thank you ERIN) I loved the idea so I made a Fascinator hat, bought nude heels, and pulled together an outfit! My favorite part was this conversation with Andrew...
"Mom, you are going to a party without me ?" (picture sad Andrew face)
"Yes, it's just for girls"
"But mom, I am a big fan of girls!" Yes, you are son, yes you are... Oh boy...

Preschool
My sweet boy is embarking on his final year of preschool. To be fair he started really early, because daycare does preschool and two years ago it was all girls that were preschool age and Andrew really wanted to be a part. So he sat with them as they went through the calendar and daily activities and lessons! He participated in the academics as much as he could. He even would remind Becki if she changed the routine! Now he is four and it will be his final year of preschool with his buddy Wyatt. They were both so excited that they now take backpacks and have folders to carry their homework in and to return! Andrew LOVES it!
